eBay has recently announced the 2023 edition of its eBay Up & Running Grant program, a yearly initiative that aims to provide financial grants and resources to promising small business sellers on eBay.
The programme will award 50 Small Business Sellers in the US with a financial grant and technology package worth $10,000 to foster business growth. This eBay small business grant will also offer an additional $500 stipend to each Up & Running Grant recipient, which they can use to purchase essential office technology and tools from eBay Refurbished.
eBay Small Business Growth
According to a survey of eBay’s Up & Running Grant awardees since 2020, 91% of recipients found the grant extremely or very helpful for their businesses. Furthermore, 41% of recipients reported a definitive increase in business revenue following receipt of the grant.
Since 2020, eBay has dedicated over $2 million to support US small businesses in their journey to scale, grow and thrive.

Hello Alice
For the fourth year in a row, eBay is partnering with Hello Alice, a free platform that helps businesses launch and grow, to administer the grants program. Additionally, Hello Alice will provide access to mentorship and resources to all sellers who apply, regardless of whether they receive a grant or not.
Hello Alice has a mission to help small businesses access capital, grants and resources that help them grow, especially valuable in today’s challenging economic climate.

eBay Grant Application
US sellers have from now until Friday, June 9, 2023, 6 pm (EST), to apply for Up & Running Grants. To apply, you need to tell eBay about your business and how you’d use a cash grant to accelerate growth.
eBay is particularly looking to recognise sellers from diverse backgrounds who bring their distinct experiences and inventory to the marketplace and are dedicated to their communities and the eBay ecosystem.
